Well Matt, maybe you should tell them that they are right and you don't need those shoes.

Matt,

I use the Internet only to buy games. So far, I never had any problems, but I understand your mom caution. Your problem is really simple. How your mom to open a pay-pal account. It is like a credit for only buying products on the computer or ask your dad could he order the shoes you like?

Another option is to contact the company by phone and find out how can you order by mail? What is the fastest way of receiving your purchase? etc...I really hope you get it. Your heart seem so happy about it. Good luck.

God Bless

1) The website has a "contact us" listed, so call the number and ask if the shoes are sold at retail stores. If you happen to find a similar shoe at a retail store, you could try them on and possibly go with the same size in the shoe you want.

2) You don't have to pay by credit card on the internet if you don't want to. Call the contact number on the web and ask how to order them through the mail. They will usually take a postal money order, if not a personal check. Or your mom and dad might actually be okay with ordering by phone and giving their credit card info that way. It will only take a little bit longer to get the shoes that way. Be sure to ask if they are in stock!

I can see your mom's point about buying shoes that you haven't tried on. You are still growing fast at your age, and that is a lot of money to put in a pair of shoes. And it is a hassle to return shoes by mail that don't fit and exchanging them for another size that might not fit either. The company doesn't reimburse your postage costs on this. If I were you and HAD to have them, I'd go to the sporting goods store at one of the bigger malls and spend the extra money to get shoes that you can actually try on and know that they fit. If the store doesn't have them in stock, they might be able to order them.

Well, everyone here has great suggestions, and I'll add just one more. You can purchase Visa or MasterCard "gift" cards at your local bank to use on line. they are just like the gift cards you can buy at Wal-mart or the mall. You go in, plunk down your money and get the card. Since it is "pre-paid" there is no bill and no risk of Internet hacking of a personal account. Do all the other stuff, like trying on similar shoes, finding out about return policies etc. then figure out how much you need and add a couple of dollars for "just in case" and get the card from your bank. enjoy the shoes... I understand what you mean about skateboard shoes as my daughter's love Etnies and would love to build their own on-line. I told them as soon as they save enough money this is how they could get them. Good luck!

Hi Matt,
I am assuming the two problems are 1. they don't trust using credit cards etc on-line to purchase items, and 2. They want you to try the item on so they don't get stuck with the item if they don't fit.

Your best bet is check if you can order the shoes on the phone, most sites have this available because of people who are weary about using credit cards on-line. Second I would find out the information on returning if the size is incorrect, and are their any additional charges for this. Bring all the information you find to your parents and see if you are able to calm their fears of purchasing on-line.

Good Luck
