Chapstick helps, but doesn't make them permentantly unchapped. Apply chapstick regularly to maintain healthy lips.

Mary Kay has a product called Satin Lips that is great. But, I'm sure you can't come across any of that stuff quickly.
Quick tip. Take a toothbrush and scrub your lips to remove the dead skin. Then apply Vaseline to your lips to moisturize.

Drink lots of water.
Put Olive Oil on your lips every 10 minutes until you have to go out.. Keep chapstick at hand

Your best bet is something with bee's wax in it, like Burt's Bees products. You might try candle wax, if you can soften some in your hands, but I've never tried it to be sure.

abreva for a really bad problem....if not burt's bees wax...is a great resource...if your a girl...they have tinted burt's bees wax, if your a guy they have normal lip balm...and don't sweat it... you don't have to kiss your date tonight...really...everyone gets chapped lips from time to time
