could be just stress...

it could be but then it could be from many other things too. When was the last time you had a physical or check up? I'd get one, get some blood tests. Thyroid problems, anemia, decreased oxygen levels, lack of sleep, organ problems, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, medications, all those are things that cause memory problems, even stress can as well. You really need to see a doctor to find out what is wrong.

More like a sign of over worked, under exercised and not eating or sleeping enough. Now once you have analyzed all of the above figure out which one you have been neglecting and then set about to correct it. Eating good fruits and vegetables and having long drinks of water may just make that memory as sharp as it used to be so do not get depressed. Your just lacking in one or more of the above so get on the program. Good luck.

Are you taking any kind of medication? Presciption or over the counter? If you are and it has been prescribed by your doctor, please tell him about this. Medication sometimes makes it hard to concentrate and then you forget things! I have asked my Doctor a few times myself if I have alsheimers? Because I go looking for something and when I get to that room in the house, I have no idea what I went to get at all! She told me that "if you can remember that you forget things, you don't have the disease! but if you had alsheimers you wouldn't remember that you even looked for the thing at all" If you are really worried about this please go to a good neurologist! They specialize in brain and nerve problems. if you have a disease of the brain he will find it! Also sometimes hardening of the arteries causes loss of memory, so please have this checked out asp!

Depends how old you are. But if you're worried and it is that noticable to you, see a doctor. However, do you have head aches, eye problem? The doc will ask you that.
If not try this website www.braingle.com
they have great memory test's available you can do (no money)
and you should try them to get an opinion of yourself and see how bad or good you really are.

could also be chronic sleep deprivation.

only been getting 6 or 7 hours of sleep for a long time?

try getting a couple more hours each night for a while and see if that helps.

It depends on how old you are. Being forgetful is part of middle age.

Being forgetful is also a symptom of stress or brain overload.
