You sound depressed.
Get some counseling because you are who you are no matter if you are fat or thin.

Get some good exercise to tighten up that body

I sure know what you mean. I have been in the same boat. I grew up extremely thin, but somehow I let things get out of hand as I got older. Years ago I was a distance runner and was pretty slim. I felt great, had energy and enthusiasm. I've let things get out of control. I'm pretty much in peak condition when I exercise regularly and weigh about 180 (I'm a guy about 6' tall and am very slim at that weight). Recently I got to my all time high weight of 252.5. I became rather depressed after my son was killed back in 2001 and became lethargic, uninvolved, and sedentary. Further, my wife has become disabled due to lupus and daily migraines and it keeps getting worse. I realize though that since everyone here depends on me for virtually everything (we also have a quadriplegic son here) I HAVE to take care of myself so that my family is taken care of. I recently have lost 10 pounds, via changing the way I eat, basically, I eat when hungry and eat slowly and enjoy every bite and in this way am satisfied with less and lose weight. (Check out the Paul McKenna book if you like). I still want to lose another 50 pounds, but having lost 10 so easily, I am still motivated. I have added 20 minutes of cardio a day last week, which has really helped with mood and energy levels. What I'm doing is 'running' or stumbling about for 20 minutes which is likely less than 2 miles altogether. Years ago, I would run 6 - 10 miles 4-5 days a week and it felt great. Hard to not compare my present condition with how I was back then, but I figure it's one day at a time, and avoid overdoing things. I'm a big believer in controlling your life and taking responsibility. There is nothing worse than being a 'victim' and allowing life or other people to control you. Nobody will look out after you better than you yourself. Best of luck on your journey.

i agree with the above... this sounds very much like an eating disorder.
When you eat less in hope that your loss weight, you put your body at risk. You stop supplying the needed nutrients to your body. The first step i would suggest is go to a doctor and make sure your mineral and vitamin levels and such are all in order. Then i would stop being so critical of myself. In all honestly, life is wasted if you're superficial, it really is what's on the inside. ( I know this is the biggest cliche around, but it is VERY true)

Yep. I'm right there with you on this one. I weighed 160 lbs. during June of '06, I now weigh, roughly, 120 lbs. and I feel horrible about myself, way worse than I did when I had the weight on me..
