No, it's not weird if you guys are just hanging out as friends. But however, if you want to be more than friends with her, wait for her to turn 18, then it's ok, but not when she is still 17. When you are 18 or older really up to 7 years difference is okay with me in a relationship.
But ya, if you just want to be friends with her, it is fine.

no its not even a bit weird, as long as u get on well.... i dont see a problem. If the 17 was really childish then yeh it could get annoying for the older one but if not thats cool.
