i just switched from Tretinoin CREAM .025% to Retin-A Micro Tretinoin GEL .04% and it seems like my acne is getting worse, not better.

Is there something wrong? or is this normal?
what is the difference between the creams and the gels?

i know that when u first start out using Retin-a, it is supposed to get worse before it gets better... but is it still supposed to get worse when u change to a gel from a cream and change to a STRONGER prescription??
b/c i have been using it for a week and a half and it has only been getting worse...

oh and also, I have been using Neutrogena SkinClearing Clean Tint during the day so that my acne is not as noticeable. supposedly ,it helps your acne as well as being a tinted concealer. do you think this is okay to be used with Retin-A?????

First I would recommend you to stop anything besides retin-a and then see how you do, secondly, it is possible that changing from one form to the other your symptoms gets worse, but typically you should improve as days go on, see your doctor if symtoms persist or worsen, good luck

I have been using Retin-A for about a year, and I have found that only using that product works better than using another at the same time. If you want to conceal the acne, makeup is a better choice. It will always get worse before better. But when it gets better, it gets way better. I also recommend eating large amounts of fruit daily, as the vitamins will help heal your skin and protect from future breakouts; vitamin A fruits are the best, since a deficiency in v. A actually can cause acne.
