I have a sever needle phobia and will be getting a test done Tuesday with an IV. I am freaked out and my doctor knows how bad so he is going to give me a sedative. I was wondering do you have any tips? Will the sedative make me unaware of it and take away the pain and stress?

I've hated needles for many years , but in reality the pricks last just seconds.
Try to let your mind go to some favorite fantasy and just talk to the nurse.
The conversation will redirect your mind and the stick will be over in a flash.
