Should i bake the hens and then cook the stuffing on the stove and then stuff if? Or should i mix the ingredients for the stuffing and put it in the hens and then bake it? Thanks i need the easiest way its my first time cooking it.

the best way is to put the stuffing in the uncooked birds then put them in the oven ,you will waste your time baking them then putting the stuffing in, anyway thats what i saw on tv.

Well I have never made the cornish hens with stuffing in them... but I have cooked them in the oven... I like to rub the whole thing with butter, garlic salt, some dry parsley, and any other flavor that you might think will go well... Now as for the stuffing I think that you can use the direction on the box like if you were going to make the stuffing in a turkey... Another tip would be to make it in a turkey bag it will come out so soft and jucie... that goes for chicken too... trust me....

This is what I do, and it's simple and quick! Make sure the giblets are removed. Put the hens in a turkey roaster, one at each "end" (but about 1-2 inches away from the side). Throw in a bunch of baby potatoes. Dump in a whole can of niblet corn, including the liquid in the can. Add some spices you like (ie. garlic powder, a couple dashes of salt, some pepper, maybe some dill, parsley, basil, oregano, etc.) Feel free to add a few cleaned and chopped mushrooms. (If you see where I'm going, add what YOU and your family like, and what you have available.) Put approx. a tablespoon of butter or margarine per hen (I usually put it on top of each hen). Put the lid on and bake at 325 for 1.5 hours. Check to see if it's close to being done. If so, take the lid off, and bake at about 500 for 10-15 min to crisp it up a bit. Very tasty. PS: you can "baste" the hens a couple of times. Quick and easy. The key is the liquid from the corn! Keeps everything moist and tasty!

The easiest would be to go ahead and cook the birds then stuff them. But if you want to be adventurous, try doing the stuffing with about 2/3rds the liquid, adding some sauteed celery and onion and then baste them with a combo of OJ and butter

Make your stuffing like the box says, clean your birds and stuff the breast cavity, take a toothpick and close the skin on the breast, put them in the oven like the package says.
