I have had a small dime size lump behind my right ear about where my jaw begins. It is always there but sometimes is sticks out more than others. Lately I have been fighting being completely worn out. To where I have to fight myself just to get dressed to pick up my kids. If you have any ideas it would help

If you can feel it, it's time to see a doctor and get a professional opinion. Especially if you're starting to feel exhausted, just go to a doctor.

I wouldn't assume the two are related. They might be but don;t jumo to conclusions. It may be a gland so I would have a doctor look at it. You sound run down and with kids that's not uncommon. You can be checked for mono which causes swollen glands and you likely need more vitamins. Be sure and get enough B's especially B 12. Do it now because if it IS mono it sometimes doesn't show up after you've have it awhile. There is no treatment for mono but the vitamins will help along with enough sleep, getting enough water and eating well. Take care!

There are lymph nodes all around the jawline and that maybe what is swollen. This happens generally if you have a sore throat, infected (abscessed) tooth. ear infection, mononucleosis, etc. They can be tender and move around somewhat. If this lump you are referring to is stationary and painless it can be of more concern. Either way, any noticeable lump is best checked out by a physician...

Well first off. Visit your Dr.

If not keep an eye on it. If you notice it is growing not getting smaller then CALL THE DOCTOR!

Usually they are hair follicles that get clogged due to hairspray, oil etc. They can be painful and it is not a zit.

You are prob worn out becasue you are worrying yourself. AND you are raising children who is not to be worn out. Also, the older you get the more tired you become.

I had a non dangerous cyst exactly where yours sound like it is. I kept squeazing it over a period of about 4 years (i know, yuck), and it always came back. I couldn't stand it anymore so I went to Doc and he sent me to a "plastic surgeon" who lanced it, removed cyst and stiched it back up. I actually had a smaller one on the opposite side. He said they were common. Nothing to do with hygeine either. Get it checked so in case it's a dangerous thing. My Doc just felt it and could tell it wasn't a big deal. Tip tho; in order for insurance to cover it, you must tell them it causes you discomfort. Oh there is a bonus... if you have it removed and they have to stitch it, it's like having a mini face lift!

There really isn't enough information here other
than to raise concern. You should see the doctor.

Even if you have had that lump forever, it might
now be cancerous.

And that lump may have nothing to do with anything.
You might have come down with something like
mono or who knows...

See your doctor.

That sounds like it is a lymph node. That can indicate infection, or other things that should be checked out by a doctor.

I could be a zit, boil, mole, cyst, Or worse and cancer sore. But it also could be a infected lymph node.

I would go to the doctor and make sure it's not cancer
