My dentist prescribed penicillin for my tooth, after taking it I was shaking a little. Does that mean I have an allergic reaction to it or is that a normal occurance?

YOU ACTUALLY SHOULD NOT BE AT YOUR COMPUTER IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVERSE REACTION TO DRUGS, YOU SHOULD BE OFF TO SEE YOUR GP OR BACK TO THE DENTIST.

I have not heard of shaking as a sign of allergy, but if you find yourself itching on the torso or breakingout in a rash on your chest or having trouble breathing (wheezing), stop taking the penicillin and contact your dentist. Since it's now the middle of the night, if any of the above occur, I'd suggest that you take benedryl 50 mg (in the form of pills or syrup) if you have it and consider whether you need to go to the emergency room or not.

I've never had that reaction but have you checked the info that comes with the prescription? It will tell you about adverse reactions and what to watch for.
