I was almost asleep in a totally dark room when I felt someone or something sit on the end of my bed. I couldn't turn my head to see what was on my bed but from the mirror at the head of my bed I saw a bright white light at the foot of my bed. When my son turned on his light from his room the light illumilated around my bedroom door and the light at the foot of my bed disappeared and I could move. What was in the room with me? I am not crazy this actually happened and I have asked Pastors and Priests what this could have been. I was told maybe an angel or God. Anyone have a serious answer for me?

there have been many other accounts like yours so do not feel like you have to justify the event. the only person with real insight to the type of entity is you; ask yourself what type of energy you felt, comfort, peace, fear, or pain. there are things that move around us some people are more attuned to those energies.

I know what it was. It was a figment of your imagination. Really! It's pretty cool, though. Those figments can change your life big time. I've had a few. I've even had an Out of Body Experience. I have even seen a demon in a flame before. These were all figments of my imagination and awesome, God-given ones.
God has created the imagination. It is much more of a wonderful and awesome thing than we have understood scientifically.
Remember the words of resurrected Christ to Peter on the roof:
"How Dare you call what God has made, common or unclean!"

What women don't understand is a guy can 'let go' when the pressure and tension is too much. He's dying to get into your pants and this was he's way of expression. Does it have anything to do with love...yes and no. You can be the judge of that. This is was a purely mechanical incident...and typical of a young guy. You might want to wait a while before you get too romantic with him because it doesn't sound like he will last too long...

Go read the Bible. Find the stories of people in the presence of angels. Figure out how many of them were not afraid.
When you get to the Gospels read all four since Mary is not portrayed as fearful in all of them.
If it had been God or an angel you would have been afraid. Maybe you would have had the guts Jacob did and maybe you would have fought. Most likely you would have cowered like everyone else did.

Did you sense fear or did you sense peace. I am not saying that my opinion is right because I try not invoke you opinion as truth. Usually when fear is present then evil may be a source. Peace is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. But then again if the Holy Spirit sat at the foot of my bed I think I would be a little uneasy. It is very hard to determine what that was.

Angels and demons are fictional characters, so it was not that. More likely a spectral emission. I have one in my house, looks like a male figure, all of my family have seen it over the years, usually see it every month or so. Could also be a simple dream sequence and you just thought you were awake.

Both demons and angels can appear as creatures of light. So it is hard to say. Angels will point you to God. Demons will point away, instill fear, or doubt.
Now I am not saying it is spiritual or metaphysical. There may be a more physical answer.

Dreams can be very powerful. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish a fragment of a dream from reality. Don't obsess about this. Just move on and clear your mind, and be at peace.

It sounds like either an angel or a demon. I had read of other's who had this experience and you are not at all crazy.
One question: did this bring you peace or cause you to feel fear? That will tell you if this was from God or someplace else.
