Or just continually insist that God must fit into their limited thinking and understanding? And if he doesnt fit what they think, then they just dismiss all ideas about God;effectively throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Do atheist honestly seek truth about God?Or hope that God is something that already fits their current lifestyle?

God is soooo 5 minutes ago. We dismiss ideas about god because it is a stupid ghost story you fool! Think hard about it and tell me how real this story can be!

The only way atheists can know truth is through evidence. Since there is no evidence to support the existence of any gods, then there is no reason to believe in any. How is this hard to understand? The only difference between an atheists and a believer is their method of determining truth. The religious believe that faith is a good way to divine truth, and atheists do not, they prefer evidence.

By the way, If there were an omnipotent, omnicient god somewhere, not only would he know what evidence would be sufficient to sway every non-believer on earth, on an individual basis, but he would have the power to instantly provide it to them.

There are only two possible reasons why this hasn't happened yet, either he is fine with us not believing, or he isn't real. Since the simplest explanation tends to be the correct one, the logical conclusion is that he isn't real. If evidence to the contrary ever becomes available, I'll be the first one to convert.

No matter what, as is the fact with every other aspect of life, truth is something that is interpretted. What one person takes for truth, another person may not. And spirituality is a very personal truth, it is what one believes in the core of their being.

If truth is so widely interpretted an ideal, then whatever one BELIEVES to be true, is their truth, and so the answer is yes. To label themselves an atheist, the person has a belief, a truth, and so they "know" the truth about "God"

Lol.

How can you seek the "truth" about something you don't believe in?

Do you feel a need to know the Easter bunny and Santa Claus better? How about a need to know the Gods from other religions like Hinduism for example?

Do atheists feel they are honest? Yes.

I suspect that you know the "truth about God," or you wouldn't be asking this question.

You are no doubt certain that your "truth about God" is the one and only "truth about God," and you are willing to share your "truth about God" with the atheists, for which, no doubt, you expect to be rewarded with eternal bliss.

The problem is that the atheists are just as certain that their "truth about God," (that God does not exist) is the one and only "truth about God."

Neither you nor the atheists can prove your "truth about God" in any conclusive way, and yet you are both so certain.

You and the atheists, locked in a polar dyad, indulge in righteous indignation and accusation. You need each other.

Do some Church Christians honestly seek truth about God or Jesus. It seems on this chat group they are always quoting Peter or Paul or the Old Testament judgment of non-Christians.

If they were really Chrisitians they would be following Jesus' teachings on how to live their lives and go to Heaven. Instead they quote Paul, misinterpret John 3:16 and claim that believing that Jesus came to this Earth to save them from their sins is believing in Jesus. Satan believe that Jesus came to this Earth to save them from their sins. Does that mean that Satan is a Christian? The thing that makes us Christians is when we follow Jesus' Instructions. ... Not when we scream his name and act like we just won the lottery.

To believe in Jesus (John 3:16) means to follow his teachings and be born again in to a personality of forgiving others.

We are interested in evidence in favor of God's (any god's) existence.

There is none currently.

So, we don't honestly seek truth ABOUT God, but OF God. The truth being evidence.

There is no truth about your god. You can't prove anything that your bible says except that some of the locations and names in it were real which proves nothing.

Your bible was written by mankind, not a god.

So, your truth is relative and based on your own personal perception. I base my perception on proof, and your bible ain't proof. Its a biased book created by people during a time when we thought the earth was flat. That doesn't say a whole lot about the people of that time.

They lived their lives in fear and superstition and yet YOU cling to it desperately.

i seriously think they dont think too much about God they just say it stupid whatever. I think a lot about that subject and if someone posts a question that " disproves" God i think about that question until eventually God gives me an answer. I dont they do this when they find a question proving God to be real. see how all them immediately say yes we are right without questioning things.

Huh? Atheist don't believe there is a god, gods, or anything superior to human intellect. So, to them. they already have 'the answer'.

For some reason though, they like to demean those folks that don't think that way as well! Kind of sad, isn't it.
