I've never heard this though dry dog food is the best for all dogs as long as it is nutritionally complete. I buy a regular medium cost brand then add a couple of bags of the better into the large bag, it lasts longer, the dogs are satisfied and are healthy. Makes my money last a little longer too. Though I have always given my dogs scraps and they live long lives. I just don't over do it or give them a lot of fat, if it's too fat for me it's too fat for them unless like my cats they live outdside and in winter can use the extra. Did you know that dogs can live without meat but cats cannot. It's true.

Nah, Timber had a pork chop for dinner last night and he is still kicking around here.

Also it is not dangerous to feed dogs real food, it is dangerous to feed a non-balanced diet. If you are willing to put the work into planning and cooking healthy meal based on their nutritional requirements then your dog will be healthy.

Not fatal, no. But some dogs don't tolerate pork products well. My dad's dog would get raging diarrhea from even a 1/4 of a pepperoni from pizza. A slice of bacon would give her the runs for days.

Ugh, don't feed anything raw. Trichinella still exists and it's a real concern. Same for salmonella and botulinum. If you wouldn't eat raw food because of the dangers of food poisoning, why the hell would you think it's OK to feed raw food to your dogs?? BARF is junk. If you're going to cook for your dogs, then COOK and make sure it's balanced, dogs need fiber and vitamins too. You can't just throw a dog a pound of hamburger and call it good, that's not balanced. Take the time to do it right.

Absolutely FALSE.

Dogs are carnivores, they eat meat. Ham, while not great for your dog won't kill him.

I say ham isn't great because its cooked, most of the nutrients the gains from it have been cooked out of it.

Raw pork is very healthy. Trichinosis the disease people worry about with pork is very rare now. It is also something that meat inspections, and freezing your pork for a couple of weeks takes care of.

I hope not, I have been feeding my dogs ham and ham bones for at least 10 years, needless to say they are still here. However no human food is good for dogs in excess.

Onions, raisins, and chocolate are poisonous to dogs.

Not pork or ham...or most human foods for that matter.

My dog ate a lot of ham when it was leaft in her reach on accident, but then again she has eaten a lot worse than ham. Its definately good to keep all human food away from dogs, or else they will stop eating their dog food.
