Yes they did show it on myth busters.It works best with diet coke and the white mentos. The other mentos didn't get any fizz.

eat about a dozen Mentos followed by a large glass of Diet Coke.

carbonated soda. It was on Mythbusters. If dropped into the soda, it makes it completely fizz and create a hugh fountain effect.

I've seen it work with Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite -- I think it will work with any carbonated beverage. ....just make sure you do it outside!
