I'm not sure about why you put periods in it. Oh now I see. Yahoo puts *s for words that might be objectionable for viewing by children.

Pussycat is just slang for cat. Sometimes a cat is called a pussy. Over the last 30 or 40 years pussy has come to be slang for the area between a female's legs.

Update:
The song by Tom Jones was the theme song for a movie with the same name. In the mid 1960s the movie "What's New Pussycat" stared Peter Sellers as a psychiatrist. I don't remember the plot, but I'm sure it was funny for the time.

yes, it is a way to call a cat, but it is sometimes used to refer to a women who is wanted by a man.
