I mean people do that, why doesn't the news just leave the girl alone. Did the paparazzi ever think that the reason she may be feeling a little down is because everyone picks on her? Anyone else feel the same?

Well, this is what happens when a kid suddenly finds herself swimming in millions of dollars, and has no parental guidance to teach her how to deal with it. She now has to go through all the painful and embarrassing aspects of maturing under the scrutiny of the entire world, and it probably sucks, so it's not surprising that she's coming apart. As far as I'm concerned, she's still a kid, and is making stupid mistakes like a kid. Wonder where her parent's are in all this?

Oh, and her head looks like a light bulb.

She's a child star. The media couldn't leave her alone even if they knew how to. She's melting down. It's only a matter of time before she's sleeping in a pneumatic tube, buying the skeletons of deformed people, and sharing her bed with children. Tinsletown's gotten into her head. She needs to find a cabin in some secluded mountain forest and get away from everyone and thing she knows, or wind up crazy.

It isn't. However, she missed out on a great opportunity for some good publicity - she could have publicly shaved her head in favour of cancer (giving her hair for wigs for cancer patients, and perhaps holding a fund raising event as she shaved her head).
Apart from the good it would have done, it would have done a lot of good to her image, which seems to have lost some of its lustre in the past year or so.
Seriously, the best theing that could happen to her would be to be out of the public eye for a while, while she takes care of her personal problems.

It isn't. The media just won't shut up about it.
-It is the same reason that a soldier who dies in Iraq gets his picture on TV for 20 seconds, but that drug addict bimbo Anna Nicole Smith gets discussed on TV for WEEKS on end. The MEDIA decides what to discuss and what is important when it comes to the news.
(PS-the answer below mine is kind of funny. Drug tests that involve hair samples can be taken from ANY hair on your body, not just your head)

Its not a big deal. I keep thinking maybe she wanted to make it a big deal knowing that cameras are following her.
Couldnt she just have sent someone out to get a razor and done it herself at home?
Its a publicity stunt to me.

She is in the publican's eye, so everything she does is made public. If it was you or I and we had shaved our heads, the only deal we would be catching is from family and friends.

No big deal she just wants to be shaved at both ends. Now you wont be able to tell her head from her butt.

i think its a call for attention. yes people bring her down but for a good reason. she wanted to become a part of american entertainment, resulting in positive and negative feedback. and too tell you the truth, she has really messed up her life in my opinion.
