It's hard. I lost my job almost three years ago because the jobs in that field are being cut and/or sent overseas. I went back to school and have taken any kind of work in the interim. I'll be hitting the job market again soon and am nervous because things are tight here in MI. Remember to focus on WHO YOU ARE, not what you do. There is more to define you than just your job. Although I have struggled with financial issues as a result of losing my high-paying job, I have learned that I am a lot more than my job title. Hang in there. You'll be ok!

it makes you feel absolutely useless and helpless... My husband and I were among 10 people that got laid off after long service because we didn't agree with the a contract issued by the company we worked with.

It was terrible, for a whole year we both went through the same pattern of not being able to settle into new jobs and leaving after a few months. After all the drama and hassle, we finally decided to set up a small business and have been doing really well ever since.

I know that right now it won't seem like much of a consolation, but at the end of the day this could turn out to be blessing in disguise... You never know, this might actually be your lucky break! :-)

It is definitely hard, I know what you mean. I have been looking for a job the past year since I am in a new state for school. So far there is no luck, and everyone keeps putting me down for not having a job, so it is definitely hard, and I'm hoping this last application I put in will be the one, I seriously need a job.
Anyways, you are definitely not alone in this, many people are in the same boat as you. I hope you find a job soon!
