Getting a facial doesn't have to involve wearing makeup. You can get it done cheapest (by female friends who know how, or) by going to a beauty college, if there's one in or near your town. Otherwise call different salons. If you know anyone to ask, ask what salon will do a cleansing facial and dot on a little 'concealer', which can be like a chapstick thing (or creamy putty in a small jar, funny) that has a skin tone to it - it goes on any red spots and can completly disguise the red. If you don't know anyone to ask for help from, look in the yellow pages ('Beauty Salon & Services') and call around to find out the best price. Make sure you say (and they'll hear that you're a guy) something like, "I'm getting my portrait/picture taken and my face is really broken out, I need a cleansing and toning, and just a little bit of concealer. What do you charge for just that?" When you end up going in somewhere, tell them before they get started, "I can't handle makeup, just blend over the red spots." Remember, they're providing you a service, so it's your job to be clear about what you want -clean,tone,cover only the spots-and tip the person who does the work on you ($5 at least is fine from a teen), plus you pay at the register for whatever the job costs.
I know this is gonna' give you some insight as to what gals go through, although WHY, I'm still asking myself . . . ahem.
You can buy your own concealer from Rite Aid or other drug store and have it available until the pimple days are behind you. What a bother. Best wishes on your shoot!

honestly, usually getting a facial means removing blackheads, whiteheads etc from your face, so yes there usually is some healing time required. If you have the time to really fix the problem for the long run, I suggest you see a dermatologist and if its only for a photo shoot, then men usually get a make up artist to give that look of a clear complexion with products. Hey, many in the business do it.

No it is not weird. The male celebrities in movies and the newscasters all do it. And most wear makeup too to hide the flaws.

No, but know that your breakout will get worse after your facial before it gets better.
