I personally believe that questioning God is a healthy faith response. However, I am looking for Scripture guidance on this subject.

I know that David questioned God a lot in the Pslams and Job did also. Do you have any other references or specific references in Job or Pslams that you think would speak to this topic?

Isa 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool."

You cited David and Job, and these are good examples, however, remember all of those that questioned Jesus. There were many honest questions, but many dishonest questions trying to trap Him.

It is OK to question God, just be honest with your intentions.

The Bible is a love story to you from God. It is his personal invitation to learn who he is, and he want you to know, he loves you. The Bible is the Truth and it never lies. The Bible is unquestionably a teaching tool as well. The Bible is also an instruction manual for life, death, sadness, love and happiness.
The Bible also teaches us many things, but the one thing the Bible will never do is question itself. Because the Bible is the word of God. John 1. The word of God is True.

Only man has the ability to question God and his validity. Our pee size brain can not comprehend God and all he does, in all he has done, and all he will do. We are lucky we have this Revelation that we can read all about God. So few even crack the pages, yet for generations the Bible has always been one of the longest running best seller in the world. It has broken every record of best sellers of all books ever written. Why because God wrote it for you and me to read.

Without God. There is only nothingness.

Read some Calvin.

Calvinist tend to think that if you question your faith, then you were never "chosen" by God. Therefore you are not saved. He actually has scripture he thinks backs this idea up, but in my personal studies, I have found most of it to be a load of crap.

Jeremiah is probably the coolest example to me. In Lamentations, he basically accuses God of taking advantage of His people, but God responds in love because He knows Jeremiah's heart. I think it's a great testimony to see someone being completely honest with God, and God being completely honest back.

The best example of arguing with God is when Jacob wrestled with God.

Then there was......

Aw, forget it. If you had actually read the Bible you wouldn't be asking this kind of question.
