Pot roasts with onions and carrots and potatoes, all cooked together in the oven all morning (if the big meal is dinner) or all afternoon (if the big meal is supper). Home made buttermilk biscuits with real home-churned butter and strawberry jam. Applesauce made from last Fall's gravensteins.
