Take your BS elsewhere. Aggressive dogs are not rehomed.

Dalmatians, when treated and cared for properly, can make fantastic pets for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. An energetic dog by nature, Dalmatians require attention from their owners and should be walked at least once a day. Many people enjoy taking these dogs to parks, dog runs, and other areas where there are other dogs and people. Adult Dalmatians are usually 19 to 24 inches in height and weigh 45-65 lbs. Males are larger than females and can grow to be 27 inches and weigh 70lbs. Dalmatians are considered medium sized dogs and are fairly strong animals. Greyhounds, my personal fav, is the favored dog of betting tracks everywhere, this tall and slim dog is all about speed. They have been clocked in excess of 40 miles per hour and absolutely love running. Their gait is graceful and easy. The Irish Setter is a long, lean looking dog that is very athletic and energetic looking without appearing hyperactive or rambunctious. The overall appearance of the breed is one of grace and agility as well as intelligence and excellent disposition. This native of Malta harkens back to the hounds depicted in 4,000-year-old Egyptian artworks. The Pharaoh Hound is among the oldest breeds of dog on Earth. As such, they are uniquely suited to the climate and circumstance of their origin. Pharaoh hounds are very friendly with other dogs and people. As such, they don't make very good guard dogs unless used solely as an alarm. They are natural runners and do best when allowed a daily run, while being careful they don't escape from an unmanned and insufficient fence. The Vizsla is very muscular, sleek and very athletic looking medium sized dog that is used for hunting as well as a companion pet. They are very balanced in appearance and have a typical hunting dog alertness, energy and eagerness about them at all times. The Vizsla is always a beautifully coppery gold to rust color and has a shorter coat, although it is very dense and thick. And those are just a few. I cited my source down below. I hope you find a good jogging buddy and can offer him a forever home. Have a blessed Christmas! <><

I think the dog as most dogs with any intelinence knew he didn't belong in there and being caged isn't exactly fun. I would however take extra precaustions with him for a long while when it comes to other people and especially children. You want to socialize him right away but with people that you know will be easy, calm and quiet around him. Slowly add in youth, teens matbe family teens and then younger children with him under strict situations. you right there supervising. The ehing is you don't know what the previous owners taught or didn't teach this dog and he can become agressive when you don't expect him to.So, go slow with caution and socialize him because you don't want him thinking you are his and not take to anyone else that may come atround you...posessive dogs are hard to deal with when you need them to be around people, I've been through that. So, that being said. Enjoy the dog and love him, he knows you rescued him. He loves you...just mske sure he loves everyone else too. Let them give him treats or play with him doing his favorite ames. Good luck. God Bless.

American Pit Bull Terriers, or "pit bulls" as they are commonly called were originally bred and trained to fight other dogs. However, they were also bred to be very gentle with people. Due to the fact that people who only want these dogs as status symbols or to force them into lives of fighting these dogs have developed a bad reputation. It is the owner's fault every time one of these dogs does something bad. These dogs require a lot of care and socialization...but the dogs that do become aggressive have been abused or neglected their entire lives, thus they eventually...snap i guess would be the word. They really are great dogs...i have fostered several and have fallen in love with the breed.

Pit bulls are loyal and protective and if brought up correctly they make good pets. However, if this dog was attempting to bite everyone else. Then I'd say you shouldn't had brought it home. Especially if you don't live alone or have friends over. As far as why he didn't bite you. I guess he likes you. Dogs sense stuff in people just like we can sense bullsmackaroo in some.

you have to be a very knowledgeable dog person to take a used pit bull they have special needs, if he is acting aggressive to every one but you I'd take him back before you have a lawsuit on your hands, Ide be interested in knowing which (Pit Bull Pound), they normally don't adopt out dogs that show aggressive behavior, the dog is afraid and afraid for a a pit means fear biter sooner or later it will bite you or someone you love, I have done many years rescue with this breed, you don't live alone in the world and can't guaranty it would never be in contact with other animals or humans, Please do the right thing take it back or put it down for your own safety and report the place you got the dog from to local aspca folks. that pit bull pound needs to checked out.

Because, People listen to rumors. Pit bulls only kill 3 people per year.. That is less than german shepards or any other breed really.. I've read so much about their reps. And do you know how many people per year tabacco kills? More than anything! I have a pit bull beagle mix.. She is exetremely sweet! Today I met a lady who had her maltese with her and when I told her I had three dogs she wasn't so shocked but when I told her one of them was a pit bull mix she got wide eyed like that was crazy or unbelieveable.
I've met SO many pit bulls.. The pit bulls I've met have been sweeter than any of the chihuauah's I've met, no lie. My youngest dog was mistreated and afraid of the people at the shelter.. My sister and I were the only ones he trusted. Your dog probably saw the people at the shelter as enemies because they were the ones who locked him in the cage. It will take training to help him overcome any fears he may have but he will be fine. You'll probably find that he will trust you more than anyone for awhile but after that he will warm up to your family or anyone else who is around him alot and then he will be fine with newcomers.

It is all in how you teach and raise a dog. Pitbulls are used to fight other dogs and to attach people. It's in it's nature to attach. I would be very carefull because you don't know how it was raised before you got it.

Ok first of all he's your pet and he probly knows your the boss ok?

Now If you go slightly over being the boss or slightly under, There is a 9/10 chance that Pitt bulls will attack their owners.
So please be carefull with what you do to your Pitt bull!

You're dilusional. The dog was probably just as fine with everyone else as it was with you. It was most likely barking for attention and you were the first to oblige, thus it stoped.
