Ask for a health certificate. Also, meet in person and pay cash. There are lots of scams out there right now selling birds. Do not send money and hope that they will send a bird.

Find a breeder near you and learn the proper care of them. Also, get one that is hand fed and that you can handle. They bite hard and I wouldn't want to train one!

They are lovely birds though. Get the largest cage that you can afford, lots of chew toys, foot toys, pellets and treats!

They should be fed 80% pellets, 15% fresh and human food, 5% seeds and other non healthy treats.

My ringneck loves fruit, both fresh and dried.

I breed Alexandrines and I sell my hand fed chicks for $600 in Ontario. Mine come with hatch certificates.

If I were you I would check out a few breeders and you can ask for references.
