All my SAVED texts are encoded so I can read them anymore .?

Question

I just saved some texts(in Vietnamese) from the BBC in MY DOCUMENTS folder . When I open it , they are all ENCODED so I can not read them . All my texts I saved previously now have the same problem . Can anyone help my agonizingly worry ! Thanks,

I am not sure this will help you but you say that they are in Vietnamese right. do you have or have you downloaded the Vietnamese codecs by that I mean. go to control panel then to Regional and language options then to tab language then to details then to add then find the language you want or need
