The Bible is not real and niether the god for it.I do belive there is a "god" but I dont think we know it yet.Following a star would lead you in circles.Normle priest wrote the bible.It was dis-proved 200 years ago but it was so profitable.Don't get me wrong I under stand why we beleive.

I do think there is a more power full being that made things becasue the world seems fined tuned to me.Gravity is set perfectly any increase and suns would colasp any decrease and they would fall apart.DNA is fine tuned perfectly.We are FINE TUNED.we need to eat drink and rest or we will die.So we are forced to do these things.Also we are afraid of death and love sex lol.Tons of energy is released when you die this is stange cant write more tell me your views on mine.ty for readin

Mabey,the anaswer is held in the future or mabey its also held in the past.Mayans could meditate and predict planet move ments and where black holes were.Mabey this could have something to do with it?Eyiptions pyrimids were very advanced and deigned well.Showing that they new somehting about religion but really we wont know till we die.

Hmm....Interesting thought but forgive me if I say you need to do more research.
The Bible, historically, was not written by normal priests. They were written by many different people over the ages. Moses, David, Solomon... All notable historical figures. If indeed they were written by normal priests, the Jewish people would have discarded most of these books long ago.
If you are referring to the New Testament, they were written by apostles. Priesthood wasn't instituted at that time until the Roman Catholic Church started.
And if you are skeptical and believe it was a profitable thing the apostles kept up 1950 years ago, I am afraid that wasn't the case. The people who instituted this "religion" died for their faith. Peter was crucified upside-down, Paul was executed, John was on a prison island for life, all incidents recorded INDEPENDENTLY of the Bible. If it was just a scam, these people wouldn't go so far for what their belief.
The reasons you brought up are possible motivations for believing in God and the Bible but consider this. The lifestyle suggested by the Bible in full context is called "taking up the cross". That means submitting to God and letting Him bring out the best in you, discarding the old so that He can make you new. That's hard to do. It also means being an object of shame, ridicule and even torture and death because you're different from the world. How many people are up for that if it's not what you really believe in? No one, I think.
Unfortunately, I will agree with you that over the ages, some people have cheated and lied and called it Biblical truth. Maybe that's what caused such a critical attitude of the Bible. But if you would be willing, consider doing some deep research first from different sources. Compare notes. Ask questions. Above all, let the Creator Himself speak to you and you will find the Truth, whatever its form.

If you're so hell-bent on the Bible being fake, why does it bother you so much?
You know what, if I had things my way, I'd be tearing you to shreds for putting down my God like that! Lucky for you, He is compassionate, loving, and merciful.
I don't know you or what you've been through. It sounds like you've had a rough time. You know what? It does feel good to be protected and loved unconditionally and forgiven. Total forgiveness. Do you know how good that really is?
Yes, it is nice to believe in someone or something bigger than all of us.
Do you know why you're scared of death? Because you don't know where you're going.
Do you know why sex is so good? Because God made sex to be GREAT between husband and wife.
Do you know why or how the earth just happens to be perfect for human existence? Because God made the earth SPECIFICALLY for us human beings. Why? Because he wants to love us and be loved by us.
Why does God love sinners like me and you, the athiests, the muslims, satanists, etc? Because it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

no religion is fake. even having no religion is still fine as long as you are not hurting anyone or yourself. just find your center and live your life to the fullest and dont be judgemental on people. the bible can be a good guide to live by for some people. especially the ten commandments.
