From what I understand of agnosticism, the individual is only stating they do not hold certainties.

Dawkin,s postulates the evolution of man to be a fact that does not require divine intervention. He is close, and evolution is a fact, however, as you go back to the first forms of life you must ask the question- how?

Just because you can prove evolution, does not mean you can prove how evolution started. Einstein grappled with the same question. What is the purpose? Is there a purpose?

Agnosticism simply put,: is that God cannot be known, and it does not deny God, only that you cannot know anything about God.

I believe in" Evolution by design" we are not the only planet out there, that has gone through its own Evolution. I feel that if religion could embrace science we could solve many of our problems. That said; science should not ignore religion, its futile. to do so.

Atheist who reject religion, ostensible for good reason, in the end will suffer setbacks.

Spirit....or ........the speed of light?

Which is faster?

Do you have a copy of The God Delusion? He devotes pages 46-54 to this topic.

In a nutshell, Dawkin's claims that some agnostics say there is no way to establish any probability of the existence of god, and thereby conclude its a 50/50 proposition. Dawkin's claims that there actually is sufficient evidence against the possibility of god, and that we can expect more evidence in the future.

He says quite a bit more than that, but I think that is the crux of his position.

Because the agnostics keep an open mind, they are being as emotionally intellectually bankrupt as a Christian. So goes the theory.
