I'm in a weird situation...I like a guy friend of mine, we've known each other for about a month and met threw a girlfriend of mine. His body language at times reads interest (sweaty palms, eye contact, and proximity) and we get along fantastically...as long as there are people around. It seems as soon as my girlfriend leaves the room he gets very quite, or finds a reason to leave the room. I don't understand this because there are times when the three of us are together and he and I will get to talking or joking and it feels like we're the only people in the room (I'm not blowing off my friend, we all basically live together and my friend is often doing her homework while the two of us are talking). SO, how do I know he's shy? Well every time we hang out with other people, new people, he gets quite and reserved (not himself at all). I'm getting allot of mixed singles, sometimes he seems like he's interested and sometimes not at all. HELP!!!

Okay so everyone is sure he likes me, but how do I tell him, or get him to tell me. I've recently ended a friendship that was sort of co-dependent, slightly romantic, and very mentally abusive...he knows about this, and knows that I want to deal with things on my own, in my own time...but this also makes him believe I am not interested in a relationship. How do I make in know I would love to be with him without trashing this great friendship we've been building, or throwing myself at him. I’m flirting like crazy and being very playful, but it’s coming off as this is who I am and that my actions with him are nothing special…how can I change what I’m doing to make him realize I like him without having to spell it out to him.
