Switch to a different food. Foods high in wheats and grains tend to give dogs bad gas. When buying dog food look at the ingredients, the first thing listed should be a meat, such as chicken or beef, and make sure you actually know what is listed and it's not a whole bunch of chemicals and avoid dog foods with corn. Science Diet is a poor food, it's expensive but unhealthy. Try Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. It's all natural but even cheaper than Science Diet.

Yes. I have two boxers and they can both clear the room. Car rides are miserable. Changing their food can cause gas- giving them new treats, or an abundance of treats. If you give them dinner food (yours leftover) that can cause problems. The best way to get rid of gas is to stick strictly to dog food- and one kind at that. They become regular with that food and their gas should reduce. Some foods though cause more gas because their stomachs aren't used to it. There is really no overnight treatment- you'll just have to try one food, stick to it for a while and see if it helps. Cutting out treats should help though.
Good luck!

Watch and see what table scraps you give him that give him gas, and cut them out. My dog gets gas when he eats anything that has garlic in it, all tho garlic is good to get rid of worms. Giving him table scraps is alright, better than any dog food, but watch what you give him. Most dog food is made out of the stuff that isn't any good for human consumption. Rotten corn, wheat, and so on.

My boxer/dane can clear the house! Some friends told me to elevate his food off the ground and it would stop this problem. We are now 2weeks gas free!

Light a candle, then check the food you are giving your dog. May need something for sensitive stomach.
