there r 2 things u can try:

1). make some shampoo out of baking soda and pexoride. shake it up good for about 30 sec. soak her in the shampoo real good. let her sit in it for 5-10 min. then rinse her off.

2). bathe her in the oxy med oatmeal shampoo. u can buy it at a pet store or if u have a dog shop near u. read the directions on it.

What kind of dog is it? Alot of Northern breed dogs like Malamute and husky have a zinc deficiency that makes them itchy. But be careful because too much zinc is also lethal. My husky has a zinc deficiency and the vet found it because she was so itchy. She also had scaly skin around her eyes and muzzle. The zinc fixed it. I give her half of a human zinc pill every day in the morning because it makes her nauseous unless she eats

What exactly have you tried? Have you tried using a natural oatmeal shampoo? I suggest taking the dog to the vet. It could be something like skin allergies or mange.

Dogs are like us, we itch in the winter cause our skin is dry, so do dogs. You can buy a moisturizing spray at the pet store to stop him from itching.

try using flax seed oil or omega-3 fatty acids. you can buy them at a pet store or a health food store and they can be added to your dogs food. beware of the fatty acids though, they'll make your dog smell like fish. :) you can also buy sprays, powders and shampoos to use. but, you should take him/her to the vet to make sure there's not something serious like fleas going on. hope this helps!

How about trying some aloe vera gel. It works wonders on human skin. But before actually trying it, I would give the vet a call. Check out this website and type in "aloe gel".

Buy some Lamb/Rice dog food. I have a chow who had itching problems and our vet said to put her on lamb and rice food and within a week she did not itch anymore.

try omega 3 capsules, open it up and rub it on the area that is itching, it's not toxic and they say those are symptoms of allergies, besides it's healthy and suppose to be pretty common,
good luck....
