Your skin and eye color will have a lot of influence in
determining the right hair color. If you have an olive
complextion, black, honey blond or light blond is the
way to go. If you are light skinned with green, blue, brown or
grey eyes, auburn or red hair looks fabulous. Medium
complextions with light or dark eyes can handle light
browns, highlighted browns and browns with blond
streaks. A heart shaped face looks best when the hair
is shoulder length with a few layers falling just under the
chin to balance it out, or an edgy razor cut in the same
manner.

Have your stylist swatch your natural hair color and try to stay within 3 shades of your natural color. You can also add highlights and lowlights using lightener instead of color and then you would have some dimension. As for your cut, with a heart shaped face, I'd keep a center part and long layers with some tapering around your face. I would not suggest cutting it above the jawline. Good luck!

well if you are looking for highlights i would suggest caramel or some sort of red shade, or both if you want to be funky, if choosing a solid color, dont shy away too far from your natural unless you want high maintenance hair, as for your style with a heart shaped face you don't want too much volume at the top and sides, you want your volume at the bottom, maybe a nice layered bob that cups under to your chin

Stay the way you are. If you want to look different but still pretty. Get glasses. Wear interesting socks.
