Any one heard of Richard Hardege,prof. of Music,in the late 1800's & early 1900's?

Im the Grandaughter of R. Hardege.He performed in Germany and Wi.I am proud of my son and myself taking after him in Music.Do you believe you can carry on traits and genes when It comes to talents?

I haven't heard of this person, but i find that there are quite a few websites available on your famous grandfather. One of them is:

I personally believe that musical or artistic talents are inherited by grandchildren, more so if the children of a gifted musician marry a person with a family background of interest in music.
There are numerous cases where the children of talented musicians have no interest in music but their children acquire the talent of the grandparent!
Maybe someone more knowledgeable with genetics could throw some light on this.
