Herbal tea with sage is good for the throat too, and indeed honey & lemon which have been named already.

Rest your voice for a few hours or days - depending on how it is.

Gargle with water and salt.

Don't force it. You could end up doing your self some damage.

When you can, do some vocal exercises. This will help strengthen you. Working your voice is like building muscle. You must practice regularly.

See if your choir director or a someone else that manages singers has good advice.

If you are losing your voice when you sing, you aren't singing properly! Singing this way can cause permanent damage to your voice after a while. Please find a voice teacher who can help you learn to sing properly.

I have heard that hot water with lemon and honey is good for the throat, and there is also an herbal tea called "Throat Coat" that some people use when they have throat problems.

My grandmother would say lemon and honey in tea.

I say lemonade, or lemon water. Or possibly tea with lemon.

Try citrus fruits, including oranges. The vitamin C will probably help out your immune system as well.

Ginger. Put ginger powder in hot water with honey or better yet, boil crushed ginger. Drink the ginger juice and honey while hot. Tried this many times and very effective. You'll feel how instantly soothing it is on your throat.

Tea with honey and lemon will help. Another thing you can do is find your lowest note, and hum it very lightly, almost so low that you can't hear it yourself. This will massage your vocal chords.
