What are some pros and cons of going to prom? I can't think of anything besides everyone having "the time of their lives" and for the bad, the possible use of drugs and alcohol. Any other things, either to elaborate on these ideas or some more ideas in general?!?! Please help!

i had an amazing time at prom.. you just have to be careful though.. don't make any stupid decisions, and you'll have no regrets... stay away from any drugs or alcohol.. and definitely say NO to sex.. i know prom is usually the night to "do it".. and that's what my friend did, and she wound up pregnant.. soooo PLEASE take my word to just say no until the time is right.. fortunately she did go to college, but it could've been a LOT worse.
just remember all the good things though

pros -- fun w/ all your friends together before graduation, a chance to dress up, making great memories, & a chance to have a fun night partying~
cons -- drugs, alcohol, possible pressure to go too far with your date, prom court could turn into a giant dramatic popularity contest, people get a little too dramatic and emotional at prom, & it is expensive when you add up everything
prom is one of the most memorable moments of someone's high school career. hopefully you have an amazing time at yours despite the cons.. because the fabulous time you will have outweighs all the cons!

There are only the cons of 'drugs and alcohol' if you choose to use them.
I had so much fun at my prom!! It's just an excuse to dress up and party!

pros-
fairy taleish fantasy, not having that "Oh man I wish that I was there" and overglamourizing it at home
cons-
you won't be able to complain/get as much sympathy when you're in a rut (why I never even went to prom!!!) it's kind of fun to have giant points like that to argue when you're sad or else you'll just be unreasonable, way too much effort and everything, a dance is only as good as what you wear
basically.. you have no idea what your prom will be, it could be perfect or more likely it'll just be mild fun or maybe boring or dreadfully dull.

Con - To many women professional - carry including your human beings an savor. Con - flow abode to a celebration. Who would be there professional - basically making memories for a lie time.
