Hi there, first of all how big are the bumps? if they are a few centimeters in size, they are problably lymphomas, non-malignant sebaceous growths under our skin, tumor like but not the actual thing I hope. In this case I'd go see the doctor, I had one removed because I was experiencing mild headaches; now It is a cosmetic problem because I have a 3 inch scar across the lower part of my cranium.

use a shampoo for oily hair and only use conditioner once or twice a week or less if not needed. Excess oil on your scalp is
causing your pores to clog which is causing the bumps. The scalp is the same as your face... to much oil will cause bumps on both. I am assuming you are talking about pimples and not knots. If it is knots you should see a doctor.

Probably need a milder shampoo, try head and shoulders, sometimes dry scalp can cause bumps....have you changed brands lately? It could be an allergic reaction to something too.

T-Gel WORKS EXCELLENT ON ANY SCALP ISSUES>
It is at any store but costs about 10-15 bucks.
It's stinky stuff but REALLY works.
I use it DAILY cause I live out in AZ and my scalp is sensative and dries out and gets bumpy easily.

You could be reacting to certain shampoo ingredients, most commonly perfumes. Try a few different formulas and see if that helps.

Nexxus Therappe is easy on me, for instance, but Clairol Herbal Essence is really bad.

its probably the shampoo that your using, try a shampoo that doesn't have essential oils and to much fragrance, your probably having an allergic reaction to the chemicals in it.
