Sometimes if you have different interests, it gives you something extra to talk about -- why you are into rock, and why he is into rap, and so on. And, you could give each other new things to be interested in!

It's a good thing to have differences, sometimes, as long as you are not TOTALLY different -- you have to have some stuff in common -- but some things are o.k. and just add a little zip to the conversation! I always like to debate and argue with my dates, and it makes things very exciting when I do!!

Go out with him and spark an argument about music, (just not enough to make him angry!) and it will make your night very, very interesting!!

(Don't forget to have fun, though!!)

I have this saying that goes like this: You marry the people you date. Simply enough, but what it means really is that as you date someone, consider whether you will eventually want to marry them. In other words, date guys whom you think you are really compatible with, and that you would evetnaully want to settle down with. If the guy does not fit this category, then that might be a signal NOT to date him. Or if he DOERS, then its a way to decide to indeed date.....
Simple but true

According to Rominski's second law of dating:
"It matters not of what you like or where you are from, only the color of passion and determination to keep a relationship can keep the relationship alive"
In my opinion, this is mostly bullplop and bargain jargon, but believe what you want.

Well take it slow.

Music wise you have some commonality which is normal. If he likes you, I suppose he'll learn from you and vice versus.

Diffference could be good if it opens your mind.

More to life than music of course.

Go on a date with him. It never hurts to try and so what if you aren't identical. If you really like him, then you should give him a chance at least.

My Husband flies planes, I ride horses, our music tastes are different, our movie choices sometimes clash, our taste in houses, furniture, plants, animals everything sometimes isn't the same. But above all that our love for each other is one thing we agree on always!
Go for it, its nice to be introduced to things you wouldn't normally choose yourself and everything is a learning experience and you never know one day he might show you something you really fall in love with..............like him.

Oh. Wow. You guys don't like the same music, how tragic.

Look, if you like him and he likes you, whats the problem? My boyfriend and are are two different people, but we make each other feel good and we're happy together.

While your mommy is driving you two on your date, have her pick the radio station that you all listen to.

Other than that, you're in good shape. It could always be worse...my girlfriend loves country music and I love heavy metal.
