eh... well its been a half hour. I took about... 350 mg maybe? but I dont feel sick or anything, just a little tired. It was really stupid. I don't want to die or anything, Im just really impulsive and I havent slept in awhile. I just wanted to sleep, but I may have taken too much?

I took 30 benadryl pills when I was 12 in my first suicide attempt, but they were the little pink ones. I don't remember how many milligrams they were each...what I do remember is feeling very tingly all over, sweating a bit, and generally not being able to fall asleep (though that might have been the anxiety).

Anyways, I obviously lived through the night, so there ya go...

So benadryl comes in 25mg over the counter, so you took about 14 pills. Isn't that an entire box? I think that is a bit extreme for just wanting to sleep. You are not admitting something to yourself. As far as side effects you should be alright. I did try to off myself with benadryl before and all that 1500 mg got me was charcoal to drink. You need help. Talk to someone.

Look up anticholinergic toxidrome. The mnemonic, "dry as a bone, red as a beet, hot as a hare, mad as a hatter, and blind as a bat," summarizes the classic combination of central and peripheral anticholinergic effects of antihistamine poisoning. In mixed ingestions, in elderly patients, or in very young patients, the physical findings may be variable and the clinical picture may not be clear. Other manifestations of toxicity, such as seizures, cardiac arrhythmias, and hypotension, are not uncommon and may be explained by mechanisms other than anticholinergic effects

Any overdose, no matter what drug is a big deal. The effect it has depends on how much over the prescribed amount was taken, it will either cause some damage to your body or be potentially deadly.

If you overdosed then you should go to the hospital if you feel sick. Try to sleep, and if you wake feeling sick have someone drive you out to the hospital and they'll help you.

Good Luck!
