ok.. so there is this guy.. apparently he really likes me... he flirts with me and has asked me to dance several time at dances... gives me a lot of eye contact... all the signals... but on im he never starts the convo.. i always have to.. but he is always happy to talk to me and even asks me if i really have to go and stuff when i have to leave... he'll talk to me for hours..i have heard he is sort of shy but i dont understand this... why do i always have to start the conversation? be honest cause it is really bothering me

Well, sorry that it's bothering you. I honestly don't know why you start the conversation. My friends usually do, sometimes I do. IM doesn't matter that much, you're not in person. It's in person, for real, that matters. If he talks to you in person and gives you all the signals, I think it's time you asked him out or something. Still, I don't know why he doesn't start the IM conversations.

I never start a convo either.. because i wanna be sure that the other person really wants to talk to me and spend the time... maybe a little insecurity? so i rather not talk to ppl who don't want even if i do like them.... i think he just wants to see if you really like him.. he might be scared of taking the iniciative.. it's a good sign if you ask me, taking in consideration his reaction after you contact him :-)

He want you to start the conversation because that almost reasures him that you find him interesting to talk to. when he starts a conversation on AIM he doesn't know if you like talking to him or not, but he thinks if you IM him first that you are interested in what he has to say.
