You see after the whole "Lucifer" incedent they had to initiate some kind of homeland security policy to keep him from getting back in. This consists of James and John respectively manning a 24 hour surveylence desk and a trap door lever at the pearly gates. You'd be saying "I got this," then you'd be gone.
