Does it make a difference if the girl was a friend, acquaintance, or a stranger?

I can answer this from a guy's point of view. Yes it does make a difference if the woman we are staring at is a friend, acquaintance, or stranger. We won't usually stare at a friend or acquaintance. If we do its because we may not recognize her at first and stare to see if it's her. Also we may stare at a stranger if she looks familiar. I've done this many times, sometimes we stare at a girl we think we know and it turns out to be someone else. Then you get a dirty look and feel like an idiot. Most of the time, if guys stare at a stranger, it means we think she's attractive and are enjoying the view.

Well if its a friend then surely he'll look at you to see what you are doing.
But If a stranger stares at you. that stranger might find you interesting in a way. I am not saying that the stranger is interested in love all the time. But there is 4 out of 5 chance the stranger is.

friend- you look good that day
acquaintance- if he is cute it means stare back and make him want to be your friend, but if he is not so hott walk on and smile cuz you know you look good.
stranger- well thats a toss up take it as you please.
* note that you also might just have a wardrobe malfunction and ppl can't help but stair.

its called a stare down...its our little way of sayin we like you...without saying anythign. stare back, wink after a lil while, have fun with it. lol doesnt matter wether ur a friend or stranger.

He's probably checking you out but you won't know until you talk to him. He might just like to look around/observe people (I know I do)...See how he reacts around other girls and around you when you converse-this is probably the best indicator.

it typically meens he's checking you out, aka he finds you atractive, why not confront him about it, see his reaction, you might just get a date out of it, or a laugh from what he might say or do, either way it'll be entertaining
