Guys are hesitant to ask out girls they like because they are afraid of rejection.
Think about this guy who is the "most popular" in school. What would it look like to everyone if he asked out someone and was turned down??
Would be a huge blow to his ego.
That's what it basically boils down to.
Alot of guys have to work up the amount of courage it takes to ask out someone they like, because they are never sure if she likes them back.
And after you work up all that courage and ask her out, she says no, or get lost, or NO WAY, or, the worst one of all, "I don't think of you that way, we can just be FRIENDS"
A guy would be crushed.

Get a reality check! If these so called 'guys' liked you, they would found a way to ask you out. As for the second guy, hes either gay or really don't like you that much either.

i would like to answer but may i ask wy u think they are scared to ask? your answer may just help me answer your initial question if you know what i mean???...sometimes ppl can come across as stuffy or mean or whatever when they dont even know it and it puts ppl off...so maybe you should take a look at the way ppl see you and this may help you with both your questions...if that doesnt help then perhaps you should approach the ladsinstead...i just dont get why ALL of them would be scared...it just doesnt make sense.

Guys can be love-shy too. You take the initiative. Ignore gender roles and you do that asking.
And if he's never gone out with any one, there you go. He's afraid of facing rejection, since he's never been accepted before.

Well, if you are, ask him out. If you feel awkward, try your best to cover it up and look like this is going completely smooth. He will feel more comfortable around you.
