Dead ends mean one thing...your hair needs a trimming!
Nothing major, just a little trim so your hair will be healthy. Not much else to do.
Trust me, a little trim will keeps its long length but add more beauty and healthiness to it!
Its really a good thing to do. Trust me. I have a really easily frizzed curly hair that I maintain shiny, and at a good length. It's hard to manage, but I know that trimming it makes it much better!

Hope that helps,
Hannah

FIRST OFF...get it cut. get rid of all that dead hair. Then use a good deep conditioner and leave it sit for atleast 3 minutes. Also just because your shampoo costs alot doesn't mean it's good for your type of hair. Infusium 23 works great. Lay off with the hair dye for a while until you hair is back in good shape. Also going lighter causes more damage. Maybe stick to darker shades. Also watch with using a blow dryer. Use a heat treatment beforehand.

Maybe you should start with a trim. Keeping your hair trimmed keeps it healthy. I have long, thick hair and its terrible trying to keep it looking good. I've found the best thing for my hair has been to use sunsilk half the time and neutrogena clean the rest of the time. And I only shampoo every other day. You don't have to spend a ton on hair products. It'll take some time but good luck!!

Wash your hair, then comb the conditioner thru and let it sit for 5minutes(pull it into an updo and wear a plastic cap to lock in the moisture), then put on a hair masque (i recommend fruictise), and finally do a hot oil treament. Do that once a week and your hair will shine and be so soft. Use carrot or olive oil daily for extra sheen.

OKay, well leave your conditioner in for a long time. I usually put it on, only on the length of my hair, not the scalp, expecially the ends, and put it in a shower cap. then i do whatever i have left to do in the shower, then i take the shower cap off, rinse it out, leave a LITTLE BIT IN, get out, and put on some leave in conditioner on the ends. Using a moisterizing shampoo and conditioner will help.

Try mixing 1 cup of honey with a medium mashed banana. It might sound a bit funny but it will leave your hair feeling smooth and manageable and it will also smell great. the honey acts as a barrier while the potassium in the banana will brighten any color or natural color your hair has. this especially works well with dark hair as you can see the gleam it leaves. this is designed to put in your hair and to leave in for 5 - 10 minutes. Also try to cover it with cling film (glad wrap). rinse hair with warm water thoroughly and let it to dry naturally... no blowdrying.. that damages hair because of the heat.
good luck

i use to be a waitress and me and one of the other girls were talking about dry hair and she said that when u wash your hair and u put in the conditioner in your hair dont rinse the conditioner out leave it in over night. Keep something wrapped around your head. I did try it. it works very well, u will be surpised how soft your hair will be. after u rinse it out the next day

The longer the hair, the older it is. It's a good idea to get a trim every couple of months. I use Garnier Fructis, which I really like. Go to http://www.garnierfructisusa.com/ and take a quiz to find the best product for you.

first, cut those dry ends off! then ask a stylist a at a salon or something for which shampoo and conditioner is best for your situation. that would be the best way to deal with this.
