OK in ancient greece there were buildings called Oracles that were places where Divine advice and Prophecy could be purchised.

but i have recently been told that Oracle is the name of twins that have the power to see the future???

i'm wondering if you know where the Oracle twins thing came from?

Thanks!

No, Oracle is a building.

Oracle: Places where Divine advice can be purchased, usually through the medium inspired Priests or priestess.

thats what an Oracle is.

Are you talking about the Delphic Oracle? If you are really interested I'd suggest you talk to someone who practices Hellênismos. I make no claims to be all that familiar, but as far as I know there is no such thing as "the oracle twins".

Oracle has always been the priest or priestess, not the building, and the advice they give about the future. And they're not necessarily twins.
