Splenda is a man made product. Your body is not. If you put a man made product into your body, your body has to try and figure out what to do with it, how to process it. Raw sugar (the kind that is actually called RAW sugar) is a natural product. Your body recognizes it and knows how to process it.

It's really that simple.

1. Splenda, also known as sucralose, is artificial sweetener which is a chlorinated sucrose derivative. 2.Sucralose is derived from sugar through a patented, multi-step process that selectively substitutes three chlorine atoms for three hydrogen-oxygen groups on the sugar molecule.

Why mess around with something that is already perfect on it's own?

Sugar, raw sugar at least is a naturally occuring substance. The process of refining makes it a questionable product to be putting in your body. Splenda is the brainfart of some anorexic mad scientist on a sugar binge. If I were you I'd eat as little sugar as I can handle and stay away from splenda. Grapes are good for sweet tooths.

No, Splenda isn't worse for you than regular sugar. Splenda is used for diabetics and for those whom can't consume regular sugar. Actually, it's a better substitute for regular sugar. Personally, I really like Splenda.

I heard splenda had bad effects on mice during testing, and shrank their thymus gland or something like that. There's a ton of information against ingredients like Splenda (aka sucralose) and aspartame. As far as it being worse for you than regular sugar, I think it depends on how much of it you actually use. Prolonged use might have bad effects, but every person takes it differently.

It all depends on who you ask. Splenda has not had time to be tried and tested. It takes years to find out how bad some things really may be for you. Natural is always bast. White sugar is not good for you, neither is artificial. I suggest using pure honey or molasses :)

I don't know the exact facts but I would rather eat something natural than some chemical imitation. If you don't want to eat too much sugar cut most of it out. If your just replacing it with fake stuff then your not changing your lifestyle for the better anyway.

Splenda and regular sugar both have 4 calories per gram, only FDA law allows them to state "zero" or "no-calorie sweetener." (Email their customer support if you like) So, now, what's better for you? Something man made or natural?
