God makes Himself known to each and everyone of us. His proof of Himself is all around you.He explains everything clearly in His Word. How can you not believe in Him? How can you read the Bible, and not feel moved and touched by the presense of the All Knowing omnipresent perfect creator of the heavens and earth? With all the prophesy that is being fufilled right before our very eyes, how can anyone not be in awe; how can anyone doubt that Jesus is real; that the scriptures are God's message to us; the teaching and instruction? If you do not believe in God, have you based this desicion on knowledge? Have you even read the Bible? I want to know why so many people are blind to what is going on in the world today and how it is the fufillment of the word of God. If you do not believe in God- when Jesus comes back and takes those who do believe- will you believe then? Or will you believe that we have been abducted by space aliens, like the cults are going to try convince you of....

All of your statements are the result of a delusion. You have absolutely zero evidence that god exists. None. All you have is a "feeling". That is not convincing.

Let me ask you this; if you were raised in Iraq, would you be Muslim? More than likely. And you would have a totally different set of beliefs. Where, then, is your truth? You are only basing your statements on your experience, which is totally a fluke. You need to present real evidence, and you should be evaluating real evidence, rather than just parroting what your parents taught you. Just look at your beliefs critically, you will see they are nothing but figments of your imagination, with no basis in fact or reality. They are not rational.

Finally, try to imagine that you had no concept of god, and then read what you wrote. It's total nonsense.

And that's why I don't believe in god and neither should you.

There's no evidence for God. There's evidence against God. The bible is not very awe-inspiring, considering how its God did not always do great things. I don't know of any prophecies being fulifilled that aren't blatantly obvious or completely made-up. Jesus was born; but he's a person like everybody else and when he died, his life ended. His life was also exaggerated. I have not just decided I was an atheist. I became an atheist through a process of thinking. I have read the bible. I find atheists to be more open-minded than those Christians who do not even consider the chance that their Bible could be wrong, you for example. The question about Jesus coming back should not apply, but if he ever did, I would definitely then believe in God. That's because it's a hypothetical situation where there's distinct proof in the truth of your religion. I've never experienced anything as astounding in my lifetime and I doubt I will. Atheists do not follow cults. You're a very foolish person.

I think the idea that all matter that composes us and everything around us was at one point united as one object is much more beautiful and awesome.

The bible was written by humans, not an invisible deity. There are no prophesies in the bible, the new testement authors simply wrote their stories to go with the ones in the old testement. There is no single shread of proof for the existance of a god of any kind, much less the god that is portrayed in the bible. The authors had little knowledge of the world and universe so the god portrayed is too small of a universe that is revealed by science. Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Once you look past your beliefs, you will begin to understand what it means to truly be a human being in the cosmos. An awesome feeling...

It's a little exhausting to keep trying to explain why I don't believe there is a God. And I want to be careful about how I say anything, because you sound like you're a decent person, and I don't want to disrespect you or your beliefs. I just don't see the Bible as "His" word. To me, it was just written by men. (Yes, I've read it many times. Both as a believer and a non-believer.) I don't see prophesies that are being fulfilled. I see some non-sensical passages that are being interpreted to match things that are going on in today's world. They could be interpreted a million different ways. I think Jesus was probably a wonderful man, who believed in what he was doing and had good intentions, but I don't believe he was the son of God. The whole thing about him dying on the cross for our sins doesn't make sense to me. If God loves us so much that he wanted to open the gates of Heaven for us, why did he have to go about it THAT way? Why couldn't he just say, "OK, I love you, and I want to forgive you for your sins, so I will." He can do whatever he wants...so why torture and kill someone? I just don't get it. I'm sorry, like I said, I respect your beliefs, and I'm glad that you find peace with that. I also thank you for not sounding insulting in the way you worded your question. I just don't believe the same things.

And,eh,what is this proof all around me that tells me he's existent?I see nature,I see the development of it's animals and human beings,I see a constant ongoing survival of the fittest, therefore,I see evolution! I dont see no mirages of angels or of a God or theories.I don't depend on an uncertain spritiual guidance somewhere, how blatantly ignorant and far from fact it is.So you think other religions are wrong too, have you even read much of other religions,or are you simply stuck in western belief system like the rest.So you are saying Buddhists are wrong too, since they are atheists, even though they meditate 6 hours a day, intensely pious to thier religion catering to the need of peace in the WORLD!?
And what is this abducted by space alien junk?Have you cared to read of the great 'Siddharta','Zoroaster',or 'Allah',even?Im sure you didn't.Open your eyes and look at the WHOLE globe and cultures around you,and you will see a different perspective, far different from the western world!

i can usually answer this question be saying that i dont believe in the pope's god. the Catholic church is selling me god and im not buying it. im too smart to buy it. i have read your bible and you admit a lot. i do not believe in your god.

and it doesnt matter if god exists or not. we are here. we have every chance to make all things wrong in the world right. so it does not matter because we have the power to change the world and life. given to us by god or not...we have it. live well. live right. and does not matter in the end if you sat in church every sunday or just survived. if she exists and she is just and loving...shell get it. that is a god that i must believe in.

There is no evidence that there is a god. It isn't rational or reasonable to believe in things without any evidence to back it up. You would be stuck with hundreds of thousands of gods and everything else that human imagination could come up with since they have the same evidence.

Not believing in god is the same as not believing in Odin, Zeus, Ra, Hera, Bacchus, The Great Spirit, Osiris, The Flying Spaghetti Monster and all the others. I would be no less surprised of evidence of Odin was found than I would be if evidence of your god was.

Every couple of thousand of yrs or so, a god arrives. The ancient Egyptians had theirs, The ancient Greeks, and on and on. I'm sure their gods made himself know to them too.And they were believers just like you, stood in awe of his or hers might.Their gods all had messages for them to. They had believers just like you.
Where are they and their gods now??
I will tell you. The same place your god will eventually end up. As a memory.
From what I read of your god he is a mean, child molestor and an extremely vengeful SOB. I think I will continue not to believe in something like that.

Explain why? because I have an IQ higher than 30? Because I have not seen, felt, or heard your god in all my years? because IF I were to pray, it would be a waste of time? how many reasons do I need? The only "proof" of your god was held in Moses' hands, yet he saw fit to smash the "proof" before anyone could see it...how convenient.

Please be considerate of those of us who do not believe as strongly as you do. I hope that there is a higher power, but it is not necessarily your god. I don't consider the Bible or the Word to be proof of your god's existence. Your reality is not that of a lot of people.
