..you say you eat fruit to stop eating the rest of food on your plate...but I wonder what is on that plate? you really do need to
eat vegtables and meat (or meat substitute)..... as well as
fruit - a well-rounded diet is good especially as you grow;

also, I would think it depends if you are at present underweight, at an acceptable weight, or overweight ???

it would be good to check this out with your Doctor - if you are under the "ideal" weight, or at par with the "ideal" weight (in a medical sense) then losing weight would not be a good idea - as I am sure your Doc. will tell you

IF your doctor says you are overweight -- perhaps he or she could suggest something like being a bit more active - to burn off the "extra" calories and may even suggest a dietician

it's good you don't eat too many sweets - but having a small treat once in a while shouldn't hurt

I wholeheartedly agree - a hundred per cent - that someone in their teens shouldn't be preoccupied with their weight, and losing weight,but IF you are over what is medically considered a healthy weight for your age, height, etc. - then perhaps getting some professional advice would be a step in the right direction

I wish you the best of luck and hope that you can get help in adopting a healthy lifestyle - I am just speaking from experience as a Mum .... hope it helps

Make sure you don't eat more than you use up. Any extra food winds up as fat.
Run, or ride a bike. Running shapes up your legs and rear. Either will improve your health and fitness.
Unless you're really huge, try running for a bit, like 15 minutes, or jogging for a half hour or so. It will stop you from being hungry for about two or three hours, so if you eat a controlled amount of food before you get hungry, then you shouldn't eat too much. I weighed over 200 pounds when I was 13, so I rode a bike as much as I could. It worked.

The main things are to make sure that you control how much food you eat, and get to thinking that you don't need more just because it tastes good. Another thing you can do is go to a grocery store and load up a cart with the thing you like to eat, and then read the calorie and fat label on them, then look around at the really fat older people and see what they put into their carts. A lot of it will be the same things. Some of those people go around in electric carts because they are so fat they can't walk on their own any more. It will make you want to put the stuff back on the shelves so you don't wind up looking like them.
