I am a Canadian soldier who served in Afghanistan . We do what are politicians ask of us. We have engaged in many combat operations there and had many die and become severely disabled trying to help out our neighbours the USA. Don`t resent that Canada did not send troops to Iraq , it was the Liberal government of the day that held majority of power that decided not to send Canadian troops there to fight. We actually unofficially do have Canadian troops in Iraq training the Iraq army and have had
special operations troops JTF2 go into Iraq to rescue hostages of Canadian citizenship .
Americans have bombed Canadians in Afghanistan killing 6 so far and maiming 30 other of our troops there and I don`t resent the US.

via fact there became no justification for attacking Iraq. US intelligence centers had reported the government that Iraq had no WMDs became no longer in touch in 9/11 and there became no reason to attack and yet Bush attacked besides. fortuitously for Canada and Canadians the Canadian government had the foresight to attain that an attack against Iraq would not be a impressive act interior the conflict on terrorism. as a replace, Canadian troops have been dedicated to wrestle operations against the real terrorists, the Taliban and Al Queda the place over one hundred twenty Canadians have given their lives.

Not at all... to each country their own. Canada is a strong independent country that doesn't feel the need to follow the American lead.
I am a Canadian married to an American servicemember. I am proud of my husband and all members of the U.S. military, as well as being proud of the job they are doing.
Is it possible for us to just answer questions on here without resorting to Bush Bashing??

No way. As a Canadian I see it as one of the best decisions a Canadian Prime Minister has ever made.

Canada agrees with many U.S.-led ideas, but getting revenge for 9/11 is none of Canada's business.

For Bush to be so arrogant as to think that Canada would go along with that is pathetic. He's unwelcome in Canada.

A good brother doesn't always do what he's asked to do.

Not at all! They have always been with us in the past, but when we do something so stupid, I don't blame them for not sending troops. I consider Canada & the UK to be our best friends in the world. We could not ask for a better neighbor. Britian has sent troops just to show their friendship. That's more than we deserved. Showing friendship doesn't mean you have to be like the blind leading the blind. Thanks, Canada, for all you have done for us in the past!

The United States is becoming the policemen of the world. If Canada was attacked, we would save them because of proximity.
We should just have them join the union and have a few more states. At least we would get their oil. But then we would be stuck with Quebec and their French- speaking citizens. We have French Fries and French Bread...and if nothing else French-KIssing. Enough already. Someday our so-called allies around the world will be truely called to arms and put to the test. I hope we (Americans) are not the foolish ones. The earth is one big Status Quo-

Canada sent troops to Afganistan, and I love them for that. Iraq is a waste and Canada was smart enough to not get involved.

I have no resentment - but the next time they want something from us they will resent it when the answer is: 'no.'

It is long past time for the US to start paying attention to how few countries have ever really done anything for us.

No I resent them for the same reason that I resent US liberals because they are Godless Marxists and Socialists that are more concerned with getting a slice of the pie that another made than in producing their own pie. "Thou Shall not Steal" Socialism=Theft!!!!!!!!!
