You can look for signs such as him acting different toward you, coming in late or going places without you more often then he use too. You can check the cell phone bill or the regular phone bill if you get it itmized. If he comes in the house and shower before he does anything else.

Look for signs... is he acting different than usual? Is he bringing you presents when he usually doesn't? Is he trying new techniques in bed? Is he busy/working late/etc in a different pattern than he usually does?

There's no way to know for sure, but what I do know is the fact that you're asking us this means you don't fully trust him. You need to address that with your "other half" or you'll just have a miserable relationship...

If he/she is acting differently then normal, distant, or aggrivated when he/she sees you......if he/she starts fights with you over little things and does not resolve them...trust me, when it is really happening you will know...you will feel it in you'r heart

There is not way to know. In my experience they have the tendency of feeling sorry for you and blame themselves for not be enough persons for you.
