A good thing to to is to just buy a portion of sweets. For instance... If you want ice cream- don't buy a gallon of it, buy ONE portion. That way you get one serving and not tempted to finish the whole thing.

Sweets can be very addictive.

Before you let yourself have a sweet, go for a walk. Or set a timer for ten minutes and then if you still want it have it. Often once you pass the urge you have the ability to say no.

Eat healthy. Take good care of your bosy. Sweets are a treat, not a staple.

I really wish I knew. I have the very same problem. I find that I only eat them when I am trying to replace something. Like when I'm down or when I'm angry.
I try not to keep many in the house, simply because if they are here I'll eat them.
Don't be so hard on yourself just set limitations and try to stick to them. If you fail at first try try again. It's a process!!!! It takes time good luck and I pray it goes well

The more sugar you eat, the more you crave. Even drinking diet drinks can cause this same craving. Go a day without eating anything sweet or sweetened. You may be surprised at how much energy you have later in the day.

I have the same problem. Buy a bag of hershey kisses for the month, and eat a few when you get a craving, and just remind yourself to savor them because they're your only bag for the month.
Otherwise try limiting yourself to one sweet a week.

Don't have it in the house. If you must buy sweets, try buying the individually wrapped snack sizes and limit yourself to ONE. If you can't do that, just don't buy them and you won't have them around to eat.
