Six Flags Darian Lake, in Upstate NY (Rochesterish?) is not too far away, is one of the best amusement parks around, and isn't nearly as expensive as the orlando variety, which cater to 4 year olds. It's more about exciting rollercoasters than seeing people dressed up in costumes. It might work for you.

Stay home and have Super Nanny come over and fix your brat daughters. You are not doing them any favors making them high maintenance. By definition, if they are high maintenance, they are not going to like anywhere that is cheap!!!

Cheap and high maintenance do not go together. Skip the trip this year, save the 2k and add to it for next year.

well you could always try a beach in north carolina. if they're high maintenance they'll love new york city, but you live there so that wont work.

Take them to Amish Country so they can see how superficial they are and how simple life can be.
If you don't want to do that then go to the Pocono's and buy buy buy them stuff. I'm sure they need it lol......Mother of two girls :)
