That's why it shouldn't be said as "nothing" but be said as "there is not a thing", thus showing an absence of existence rather than an existence of absence.

according to the dictionary, nothing is nonexistance, what does not exist. Also, it describes nothing as a person or thing of no importance. So nothing is something only if it is a person or thing of no importance, otherwise nothing is truly nothing. And there really is nothing more I can say about it. Hope that answers your question.
