Nationalism does not describe the values being supported, it only describes the movement to support the National agenda. In the case of Germany, Nationalism was supporting the idea of biological superiority as justification for attempted supremacy. In Britain, it is an Admiration of National Character, an embrace of those behaviors and attitudes uniquely British. In the United States Nationalism is a sense of pride derived from the Intention of the founding documents. American Nationalism has stood unique in the World as the guiding principle in protecting, encouraging, and growing democracy worldwide. Some people who disagree with American policy have used Germany's Nazi Nationalism to belittle American Nationalism.
There can be many forms of Nationalism, here I have mentioned biology, behavior, and intention.

Nationalism has been around for a long time and it is time we gave up on it and recognize that the world we live in is, indeed, a global one. What one part of the globe does affects all the others. Nationalism also creates animosity between those of one nation and the other just like boys do across the river or on different streets. Nations are always waring one way or another.

While we're at it we should get rid of religion to. It creates to much trouble between difference of opinion. We could live in a much better world if we didn't have to contend with either nationalism or religions.

Many countries believe they have a better way than the others and try to push it on others all the time believing themselves to be right. Other nations don't want to be compelled one way or the other. I believe that sometime in the distant future we may be able to address this possibility rationally.

Nationalism can be both.
Destructive beause it was one of the elements that causes WWI.. Nationalism, Militarism, and Imperialism were the 3 causes of WWI.

It can be constructive within a country because it makes people work together to make their country a better place. Its pretty much like a national pride for one's country.

I believe that we need a Nationalist society, which is not race-based, but something that would give it's citizen's a sense of pride in their country, and themselves.

Constructive.
When people are proud of their country they are willing to do more to make it better.
